Psalm 145:8-9

8 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 Lord, you are good to all,
and your compassion is over all your works.

We live in a world that is so different than the time of the Psalmist. Too many try to be God. We are reminded in this Psalm of the difference between us and God. The Lord is slow to anger and good to all.

Most of mankind is just the opposite. We are mean, vindictive, uncaring, prone to violence as a response to what is done to us. We are living in a highly imperfect world. Even some of the best followers of Christ have moments when the worse comes to the forefront of our lives. The true Christian, in their humility, recognizes their errors and offers and asks for forgiveness.

Christians have the opportunity to step up in these times and show whom we follow. I urge you to witness to the true God who has come into your life with grace, compassion, and goodness. It is your actions of graciousness that show the imperfect world that there is a better way than exhibited by Antifa and protesters bent on destruction rather than change for society that follows Christ and Dr. Martin Luther King.

Unite for the good.
