Message from Pastor Don Taylor ~ June 28th 2020
Matthew 10: 42 and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple—truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”
This was good text for me today. I recorded Holy Cross worship and it went on their Facebook page.
Cups of cold water have been shared. At the taping the few who were part of it got involved in a short conversation about the transitioning process. I came home and shared another cup with the Sustaita family who had their new Habitat house blessed and we had a safe outdoor sized group of HFH Board members stand in solidarity with them and their family to give God’s Epiphany blessing to the house. Finally, I got off of a Zoom meeting just now where the Windmill Emmaus Community Board had to weigh some problems we face with the cancellation of Walks to Emmaus due to rising COVID-19 virus escalation.. Everyone had their voices heard and I feel we worked through a lot of pain.
It is refreshing when we can minister to people in their stressful situations with these cups of “clear, clean cool water”.. in pastoral ministry right now we have lots of people needing or calming, but concerned contacts.
